Kids Have the Greatest Imaginations!

We never knew having a yard sale could be so much fun for kids. Peyton, Connor, and Landon played for hours with the most random stuff they found at our yard sale. Most of their time was occupied playing with a piece that connects the drier the drier vent. Landon was wearing it on his legs. Peyton wore it on his arms. They used it as a telephone to talk to each other back and forth. They tried to get it caught in the tree by throwing it in the air over and over again. They came up with more uses for that thing and had the best time. Who needs toys!!!

Sweet Dreams!!!

Connor has moved from his crib to a toddler bed. He was so funny when we were putting it together. All he could say over and over again was "Car! Car! Car!" (which he pronounces k-ah). I instantly thought this transition isn't going to be so bad after all. That night I rocked him in the glider like I always do and put him into his new bed. He slept there all night. The next day we went out of town on vacation. When we got back home, we did our usual routine at bedtime. He went to bed fine. A little while later I checked on him in the monitor. Connor was not in his bed and he hadn't made a sound. I went upstair to check on him. Connor had taken his blanket and passy and climbed into the glider and fallen asleep. Every night since then the same thing happens. I put him in his bed and before I am out of the room, he has crawled into the glider to go to sleep. I have to go up and put him in his bed after he falls asleep. When he wakes up in the morning, he gets out of his bed again and crawls into the glider until I come up to get him. I'm not quite sure how I will break this habit.

Tigers vs. Eagles - Biggest Game of the Season!

The last game of the season was exciting. Peyton's team played Landon's team. They both couldn't wait. Landon informed Peyton his team was going to win. Peyton replied with, "My mom said we don't keep score. Nobody is going to win. We are just going to have a good time." The cousin competition has already started. During the game, Peyton hit all his balls to Landon and Landon hit all his balls to Peyton. At one point in the game, Landon was up to bat and Peyton was playing third. Landon turned all the way around the tee to make sure his ball was hit to Peyton. When it was Peyton's turn to bat, you could hear Landon saying, "Peyton hit it to me." Landon was playing on the pitchers mound. Peyton hit it straight to Landon. Landon caught the ball and threw the ball to first. Later in the game, Peyton was running to second and Landon had the ball. In T-ball, they teach the kids when they get the ball to always throw it to first. Landon wanted to throw it to second so bad because that is where Peyton was running. He turned to throw it to second but then decided he should throw it to first since that is what everyone was screaming. T-ball is so entertaining. If you ever need a good laugh, just go and watch a T-ball game.

Vroom! Vroom!

Peyton and Connor both love to play with their hotwheels. When they play together, Connor wants every car Peyton has. He constantly destroys the race track while Peyton constantly resets it back up again and again.

Snuggling in Daddy's Chair!

Peyton and Connor love to snuggle together in Daddy's chair. They like to sit and watch cartoons while they eat a snack.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Our Anniversary was actually on June 12th. Unfortunately that day we were running around all over town and didn't get an opportunity to celebrate. We had 3 birthday parties to attend and then went to the river for some more family fun. My mom was able to come and babysit the boys this past Saturday (June 26th) so we could spend some "kid free" time together. We started our day with lunch and drinks at Chili's. We checked into the City Hotel and Bistro around 3:00. We had a great time talking, laughing, and just enjoying each others company.

Kessler, thanks for a wonderful 6 years. We have had so many priceless memories together. I look forward to making many more with you. I love you with all my heart.

Connor's First Haircut!

Well, I finally broke down and took Connor to get his first haircut. I met Casey at Sport Clips one afternoon. I had to make sure someone was there to be my photographer of course. Connor wasn't quite sure what to think when we sat in that chair. He wouldn't wear a cape or let mommy wear one either. Connor laid on my shoulder when the stylist first started cutting his hair. After a few minutes he was fine. The football, cookies, and sports game on TV all helped with distracting Connor while the stylist finished his haircut. When we were finished Connor looked like such a little boy. He is still so cute and the stylist kept a few curls for me in the back. Afterwards, Aunt Casey treated the boys to prizes from the gumball machines at Old Navy. Our first haircut was a success - Yeah!!!
Connor loving on mommy. He couldn't quite figure out what was going on.
"Hey! This haircut thing isn't so bad after all!"
The cookies mommy brought sure are yummy!
The sports game on TV helped occupy Connor's attention while the hairstylist finished up his haircut.
